Pumpkin Pie In a Glass

What can you do with that ginormous can of pumpkin in your pantry, you ask? Not a baker, you say? Well, a motto I once heard (and rarely follow) goes, when in doubt, make a cocktail. Not sure what kind of irresponsible lush came up with that saying, but I’m going to use it for this blog post.
So pumpkin lovers, listen up: This is the perfect pumpkin martini. Autumny goodness in a glass. It’s got spice, sweetness (but not too much), and most importantly, Bailey’s. And who doesn’t like Bailey’s? If you know someone, reprimand them.
Indulgers of the world, my Pumpkin Pie Martini.
Pumpkin Pie Martini
Makes 1 drink
1 tbsp. canned pumpkin
1 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1.5 oz. vanilla vodka
1 oz Bailey’s
Splash of milk or egg nog
Nutmeg, to garnish
Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, making sure that the honey is fully dissolved. Pour into a chilled martini glass and sprinkle nutmeg to garnish.
